Castle Menzie's Scotland

We drove to the east coast again, this time visiting spots we did not see when we were here first. This is Castle Menzies, a good example of a 16th century fortified house that has been laid out in a "Z" plan. They happily invite visitors to fully explore their home, but -as always- at a hefty fee. The castle was the seat of the Menzies Clan until 1918 and was involved in the Highlands' history, including a short stay of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746.
