We stayed in Pitlochry this night, a small town east of Loch Tummel. During high season it is crowded with tourists due to its strategic location - it's an excellent base station for excursions into the Grampian Mountains! But it offers also cultural attractions, especially "The Theater in the Hills" which has opened its gates in 1951. Of course, Pitlochry has its own distillery (Bell's Blair Whisky), and it offers all the shops and restaurants for the traveller.
