Colonna di Marco Aurelio Rome

The Colonna di Marco Aurelio in the light of the fading evening sun. It had been erected in the 2nd century AD to the honor of Emperor Marco Aurelio, and tells stories of his two wars. Since the 16th century a statue of the "Holy Paul" is on top of the column (before it was the Emperor himself).
