Dirty ICE Train, Munich, Germany
The German train strike has shaken Germany for several months by now. While it is not exactly a picture fest for news photographers
it certainly is interesting to see a train station now and then. During one of the recent strike days I visited the Munich train station to
find this dirty ICE train, one of the few trains waiting for departure (while most of the other scheduled trains were late or cancelled).
The latest signs from the strike frontier are not looking promising - Deutsche Bahn keeps refusing a separate and entirely independent contract
with the train drivers union (Gewerkschaft der Lokführer, GDL), who in return reject any offer coming from Deutsche Bahn. - Let's just hope
that this issue is sorted out quickly as each strike day is affecting millions of commuters.
