Early Evening in Seefeld, Austria (2006)
We did a short break for skiing. This was a first for us, because Petra is into downhill skiing, while I am
an avid cross country skier. Well, it turned out to be a very nice vacation.
We selected the peaceful village of Seefeld in Austria, the former Olympic town. It offers 260+ km of slopes
and a number of alpine tracks as well, most of them marked blue or red. We stayed at the friendly, yet affordable,
Hotel Berghof, and this was the view from our room #2.
I did this photo right before night set in, but still with some visible sunlight behind the mountains. Many of the
houses already had their lights turned on, making the village even more cozy. Georgous, isn't it?
