Helsinki, Finland (2003)
We needed a short break and wanted to burn some of our Frequent Flyer Miles from Lufthansa.
So we went to Helsinki to see some friends who recently moved back to Finland. Helsinki
during wintertime is very special: its coldness and roughness somehow explains why Finns
are the way they are. And Helsinki is still a capital with all the shopping, restaurants and
entertainment. One only can wonder how it may be in more rural parts of Finland in winter.
:-)
I took this picture from our excellent room on the 7th floor at the SAS Radisson Hesperia.
A fantastic view across Helsinki downtown and the Hesperia Park. I used the Kodak DC-4800
with an aperture of 8 and an exposure time of 4 seconds.
