A Pacific Gray Whale (Eschrichtius robustus) seen from the eagle perspective, Canada (2002)
During our trip to West Canada we visited the
Pacific Rim National Park. One day, we did a scenic flight with a floatplane from Tofino Air.
Our pilot, Aaron Beyer, found some gray whales and circled around them. It is fantastic to
see these huge animals from the air! If you visit Tofino, you should make a scenic flight if
the weather allows for it. You will not regret it, promised!
We shot two rolls of film during the scenic flight, which can be seen in the
floatplane trip gallery.
