Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle is a fantasy turned reality, realized by a man who was insane - King Ludwig II. The castle has never been completed (it would have been too expensive!), but what had been done until Ludwig II. passed away, that can be visited today. When approaching the castle, you can either use a horse-drawn carriage or take a short, steep footpath. We recommend to take the footpath as this will give you a better impression of the dimensions of the castle.
