After having re-fueled your car in Tsumeb, you enter the B1 again heading north. Before you rush directly to Etosha
we recommend one more stop to you at Otjikoto Lake, situated conveniently directly at the highway. It is one of the
two remaining natural lakes in Namibia, and it has some history: here, the Germans sunk their weapons right before
they surrendered. A good deal of these have been removed already, but a sign announces that several cannons and guns,
and a "mysterious safe - contents unknown" are still to be found in the lake.
