When you enter the Chapultepec Park from the east side, coming from the
Paseo de la Reforma, you will see the Monumento a los Ninos Heroes (the monument
of the boy heros). In the back is the Castillo de Chapultepec.
|

The Monumento a los Ninos Heroes commemorate six brave cadets which defended their
school in 1847 up to the very last minute. When the situation was hopeless, however,
they wrapped themselves in Mexican flags (!) and were shot by the enemies.
|

The Bosque de Chapultepec is the "green lung" of Mexico City,
and everybody goes here on Sundays to relax. The Lago de Chapultepec
is very popular for its rowing boats.
|

The Lake Chapultepec has enough room for all these boats!

out in the evenings. A lot of good and affordable restaurants
can be found here.
