View from the Pyramid of the Moon ( Piramide de la Luna ) at Teotihuacan.
To the left you see the the Pyramid of the Sun ( Piramide del Sol ), just
in front you see the Avenue of the Dead ( Calzada de los Muertos ).

Another view from the Pyramid of the Moon across Teotihuacan. The Pyramid of the Sun
seems to be higher than the Pyramid of the Moon (that's why everybody goes there),
but both pyramids are approximately identical in height! Tip for photographers:
Go there early morning or late afternoon. Light conditions will be excellent then
(I did this shot at around 11 am).

Detailed view of Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan. It is 70 meters high and is the
third largest pyramid of the world!
|

The base of the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan. Take your time when climing the
pyramids, because you are at 2,200 meters altitude, and the pyramids add another
70 meters!

The Quetzalcatl temple is situated south of the main pyramids at Teotihuacan but
still worth a visit.

A colleague caresses the nose of Quetzalcatl at his temple in Teotihuacan.

Close to Teotihuacan is another place called Atetelco.
Here you can find fantastic murals like this one.

Sculpture in front of the National Museum of Antropology.
The muesum is one of the finest of its kind and should not be missed.
Most of your questions about historic Mexico will be answered here.
Plan for a half-day visit at least, preferrable in the morning as
it can get quite hot in the museum during daytime!
