Our hotel, the Sheraton Maria Isabel. The Hotel is good and conveniently located
close to Zona Rosa, where it is safe for tourists. But beware of the Hotels restaurants,
services and the mini bar! This is pure rip-off!! Just two examples: a can of Coke (0.33 l)
costs 42 Mx$ (approximately 3.50 Euros), a Kit-Kat chocolate (50 g) is Mx$ 48 (4.00 Euros)!!
Ouch.

View from my room # 1553 at the Hotel Sheraton Maria Isabel.

At night, the view from my room was quite impressive, especially the zillions of
tiny lights in the distance! I did this shot with my Kodak DC 4800, with an exposure
time of 16 seconds at 100 ASA and F 8.

The main entrance to the Centro Historico and Zocalo is always
busy, but don't let this stop you! If you go to Mexico City,
you have to go to the Centro Historico at least once!

Another shot of the Zocalo with the cathedral.

The gigantic Mexican flag dominates the
Plaza de la Constitucion (Zocalo).

The classical view from the patio of the
Best Western Hotel Majestic on the
Plaza de la Constitucion. We recommend to
arrange an early breakfast here and see the
sun rise over Zocalo!
