Gravedona after sunset

People enjoy the view across the town and the lake from the promenade.

Gravedona after sunset

Suddenly the street lights start to glow, and you know that it's time for a stroll along the piazzas of the town.

Gravedona after sunset

One last look from the Belvedere before...

Gravedona Gelateria

...we head for the Gelateria (at the Piazza Cavour) for some great icecream.

Palazzo Gallio Gravedona

Another shot of Palazzo Gallio before we actually visit Domaso, the neighbor town of Gravedona.

Domaso Lago di Como

This is the panorama of Domaso, which is situated just a few kilometers north of Gravedona.

Domaso Beach Lago di Como

Domaso features several nice, sandy beaches that are magnets during the summer. Several trees provide shadow, so even on hot summer days you will be able to enjoy the holiday atmosphere without being grilled.

Domaso Windsurf

Domaso is also a popular windsurf spot as there is almost always a good breeze going. There are several surf schools, and camping is possible right next to the beaches.

Speed Ferry Lago di Como

Lago di Como is perfect for travel by boat, and indeed there is a very active ferry schedule every day. They also have a couple of speed boats that are still impressive to see as they dart across the lake.

Servizio Rapido Lago di Como

Here, a speedboat approaches Gravedona on its way to Colico (in the north). The fast service ("servizio rapido") from Como to Colico takes about 90 minutes, but we recommend to take your time!

Boat Excursion Lago di Como

It is much nicer to take the big, sloooow boats and enjoy the views of the lake as well as the fresh air.

Boat Excursion Gravedona

Here, one of the "old ladies" stops in Gravedona to pick up tourists en route to Como.
