Gestione Navigazione Laghi Como

The official logo of the (state) company running the passenger boats on the Lago di Como. Here, the waether has left some traces which I sort of liked. :-)

Steamboat Milano Lago di Como

This is the Steamboat Milano, a typical passenger ferry on the lake. It is quite comfortable and offers a pleasant trip across Lake Como. Here, the ship is seen in Gravedona.

Tourists on board of Steamboat Milano

This is the foredeck of the Steamboat Milano, heading for Bellagio. When doing a trip on the lake, please do not forget to put up some sunprotector in order to avoid sunburns.

Tourists on board of the Milano

Here, the "Milano" approaches Bellano on the eastern side of Lake Como. Since the ships criss-cross the lake, you will get many different views.

Dongo Lago di Como

This is the village of Dongo in the north-western part of the lake.

Ferry Lago di Como

Not all of the ships are as beautiful as the "Milano". In peak-times the management uses car-ferries and puts up plastic chairs where otherwise the cars would be. Funny! (We had this on a trip from Bellagio to Varenna.)

Lago di Como

But whatever ship you are using, you will see beautiful houses situated directly at the lake, and you will probably just think - how nice it must be to actually live here.

Lago di Como Panorama

And this beautiful shot of Lago di Como concludes our tiny photo story about the lake and its towns and villages. Hope you liked it.
