Bellagio Lago di Lecco

Here, on the eastern side of Bellagio, you will find the small harbour and a (very small) beach.

Bellagio Lago di Como

There is also a small ramp to get your boat into the water, as well as the "Hotel Ristorante La Pergola". We cannot comment on the quality of the food, but if it is half as good as the views you can enjoy from there, it must be very good. :-)

Bellagio Narrow Street

Another beautiful narrow street before we head back to the town center. After all, we don't want to miss our ferry, and Petra still wants to do some shopping.

Bellagio Salita Cappuccini

OK, one more shot of the street sign of the Salita Cappuccini, and then it's back into Bellagios busy center.

Bellagio town center

Here you will find more sun shades and narrow streets without traffic.

Bellagio Italy

But the town is still packed with tourists, visiting shops and enjoying an Espresso or (heaven help!) a Cappuccino in the shadows of the gallery.

Bellagio Lago di Como

You might as well continue your walk on the Lungo Lario Manzoni (towards the car ferry). Here, you might find some market stands.

Bellagio Water Taxis Lake Como

Or you walk along the tree-lined alley at the Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini (right next to the ferry pier) to enjoy the views. We liked the idea of having a "water taxi" transport us home to Gravedona, but then we had purchased our ferry tickets already.

Bellagio Passenger Ferry

And here it is! Now... We have to hurry to catch our boat! :-)

Bellagio Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni

While we gather speed on the lake, I take a couple of shots of Bellagio's waterfront. This is the "Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni" with its very prominent location. It is a 5-star house with a long tradition of tourism, and it has been rated by various magazines as one of the top hotels in Europe. And this is, no doubt about it, entirely true.

Another hotel that is located at the water front of Bellagio: Hotel Florence. (I wonder why they would call a hotel situated at Lake Como after a city in Tuscany?)

Bellagio, seen from the lake

One final shot of Bellagio before we depart for the city that has given the lake its name: Como.
