The Temppeliaukio church has been built into the rocks. It is a wonderful church that gets you into a spiritual mode (well, not so much if some Japanese tourists flow in). Definitely worth a visit!

If you are looking for typical gifts from Helsinki, you will find the omni present plush elks, but you will probably also want to look at candles that can be found in the alternative bazaar at the Alexandersgatan 28. And by the way, isn't that Finnish language simply weird? How the heck to do say Mehiläisvahakynttiläpuntti? How?? ;-)

While you are in Helsinki, do not miss one of the Icehockey matches in the national league. We went to the match HIFK vs. TPS (1:4).

Here, we can see three sad heros from HIFK on the penalty bench - Joonas Vihko (12), Pasi Saarinen (77), and Robert Kantor (33).
