The massive ferries of the Viking line sitting at the Skatuddskajen at the Eteläsatama (South Harbour).

We took a small ferry towards Suomenlinna island, and we had a much better view of the Viking line ships.
|

...and we could see the gorgeous skyline of Helsinki from the waterside!
In summer, the trip to Suomenlinna must be equally beautiful.
|

Suomenlinna invites for long walks, which may be even longer during winter time, because
you can walk on the ice! To warm up afterwards, you will find a number of cafes on the
island and at the pier of the ferry.

This is the Pohjoissatama (Northern Harbour). I guess these ships will not go anywhere soon. :-)

The beautifully renovated street of Kanavaranta.

The Old Helsinki Market Hall at the Etelaranta close to the South Harbour. Here, you can get everything for a delicious meal.
