Bologna has some very old towers. This is the tallest tower, Torre degli Asinelli, and
it measures almost 100 meters. climbing it is not for the faint hearted. However, the
views are spectacular!

The town center of Bologna with its main Piazza.
During summer time everybody goes here to meet friends,
have a quick chat or just look at the other people.

Though not exactly beautiful, I thought that the
clothes hanging on the balcony of these appartments were
telling a story about the Italian lifestyle - a bit chaotic
but nevertheless clean and good looking. :-)

The art of building houses has not been lost in Bologna.
Here, you see beautiful blue tiles over a window.

The Fiat 500 is still very popular in Italy.
This blue model contrasts well with the orange background.

The Torre degli Asinelli in Bologna provides great views like this.
Here you can see Via San Vitale heading east.

Bologna has always been called Red City,
and here you can see why: the roofs seen from Torre Pendenti
are bright red. But that is just one reason. Bologna has
- up until recently - been a bastion of the Democratici di Sinistra
(left wing democratic party)!

Bright yellow tables in a sun-bathed earthy brown and red surrounding.
I think this is a nice shot, and I would love to be right there right now.
