Okay, here I am, ready for the whalewatching adventure. Lance provides every participant with matching life suits that keep you warm and include the life vest. In fact, it was quite hot in there while we were still in the harbour. On the Pacific, however, it was very good to wear the suit. :-)

A gray whale ( Eschrichtius robustus ) breathes right before diving again. From the Zodiak, you never see the whale in total, but always "just" parts. But even this is a breathtaking experience! If you want to see a whale completely, go for a scenic flight.
