Africa - the name alone promises adventures and beautiful nature. So we decided to take
a 3 week time-out from the treadmills of work and to tour the so called Garden Route.
We flew into Cape Town and had a look around this wonderful city and the Cape Peninsula.
Then hired a car and drove east, at first through the wineyards of Stellenbosch and
Franschhoek, then through The Karoo towards Addo Elephant National Park.
Then we turned around and drove slowly along the Garden Route back to Cape Town.
As always, we had prebooked just the flights, the first three nights in Cape Town, and the
rental car. The rest was up to us, and we had a great time! We saw Elephants, Lions, Zebras,
Ostriches, Dolphins, and much more. We admired the clear skies in the evening, giving us a
feeling of being unite with the nature. We enjoyed the fantastic food. We met a lot of
friendly people.
And we shot photos. Many photos! From roughly 1,000 slides, I selected 188 for this virtual photo album.
Enjoy!
