One of the finest castles of its period, Markree Castle has been the home of the Cooper family for 350 years. Today, it is a Country House Hotel run by Charles and Mary Cooper.

Parke's Castle, County Leitrim, was being restored in 1999, and the results were promising. Presumably, the castle is in even better shape today!
