Finally Scotland! It stands for Castles and Clans, for Highlands and Islands, Lochs and Whisky.
We had decided to go there for three weeks to see (almost) all of Scotland, starting from
Newcastle-upon-Tyne (in England), exploring the West Coast from
Dumfries to Oban, the
Isle of Mull and the Isle of Skye,
as well as the East coast between Edinburgh and Inverness. Of course, a sidetrip
to the Grampian Mountains was planned as well.
As always, we had booked just the flights and the rental car, the rest was up to us. No obligations. No tight plans.
It turned out to be a fantastic trip! Scotland is a beautiful country with friendly people and some awesome nature.
For the very last time, I took my old camera equipment and shot about 1,100 photos (mostly on slide film), of which
