...to do it. We had a fantastic time at the Pacific Rim National Park (see our Floatplane Gallery), and we had high hopes that a scenic flight across San Francisco might be equally impressive. There is only one company offering such flights, that is San Francisco Seaplane Tours. They operate a deHavilland Beaver from Pier 39.

We began with a flight along the skyline of San Francisco...

...over the Bay Bridge...

...with the skyscrapers of the Financial District in the back.

Next we made a right hand turn across the downtown. In the back you can already see some clouds creeping in. Whoa!

Here you can see the clouds coming in from the Pacific. The weather changed almost within minutes...

...with more and more clouds. This was a breathtaking experience, even if...

...the clouds prevented a flight around Golden Gate Bridge. Anyway, to see the skyscrapers of San Francisco peeping through the clouds was great!
