We picked up our rental car at Avis (Post Street), and the weather was fine.
So we decided to re-visit the Golden Gate Bridge. I took this shot from the
western side, and then we entered the famous Highway Number One...
|

The Highway Number One is situated directly at the coast and goes straight down
to Los Angeles. You should take your time as you will see many gorgeous views.
|

Many beaches, like this in San Francisco, invite for surfing. Usually, they
can be accessed easily from the Highway.

Pigeon Point Lighthouse, built in 1872, is one of the tallest lighthouses
(115 ft) on the West Coast. While still being intact, it serves as youth hostel today.

This beach is located in Santa Cruz, a beautiful town between San Francisco
and Monterey.

Pacific Grove, our first stop of the trip, gives you a first impression of
the rugged coastline that is called "Big Sur". We recommend to use the Ocean
View Blvd to enjoy the full beauty of the place.
