Oudtshorn is the center of the Ostrich industry in South Africa. While you stay there make sure to visit one of the Ostrich show farms in the surroundings. We decided to visit the Highgate farm.

Jockeys perform an Ostrich race on the Highgate Show Farm in Oudtshorn.

At Highgate, they offer an educational as well where they tell you everything about Ostriches (probably more than you ever wanted to know anyway).
