 Merano is a beautiful place. However, it has been spoilt by tourism over the years. It is hard to find an affordable place to stay. The Hotel Tyrol (not pictured here) is one of those rare places, but do not expect anything extraordinary for that kind of money. |
 During summer, there are free concerts for the tourists. |
 The public parks are well maintained, even if it did not exactly meet our taste. |

The Hotel Tyrol is a small, family run hotel situated in a quiet area of the town, but within walking distance
to the town center. The rooms are clean and simple, certainly no fancy stuff, but the staff is friendly and helpful.
