Now, this is the "heart" of Hollywood, the Hollywood Strip. Not too impressing, don't you
think?
|

Here, you can see big glass buildings, that mirror the palms along the street...
|

...and of course the "stars" of the most popular celebreties. Here, I saw the star of
Tom Hanks and could not resist to take a typical picture.

At Mann's Chinese Theater, another must-have photo: The footprints (and handprints) of
Robin Williams, who signed the concrete 12/22/98, adding "carpe diem" ("catch the day")
to his plate. Oh, how right he is!
|

Next to Mann's Chinese Theater is a plaza of restaurants and shops. From the upper floors
you have a fantastic view across the place. If you look closely, you can even see the
Hollywood Sign in the back.
|

Another wonderful view from Mann's Chinese Theater, with Los Angeles Downtown in
the distance.
|

Here I used my telephoto lens to capture Los Angeles Downtown in the fading light of
sunset.

The next morning we started towards Palm Springs on one of these really big highways.
Ten lanes may give you a stressful time, but it gets better once you get out of the
greater L.A. area!
