Lake Louise and Mount Victoria - beauty at its best!

The Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel is situated directly at the Lake Louise and it is quite popular.

We took a short trail to the left of the lake to get to this viewing point! Here you can see the Fairmont Hotel Lake Louise. I think it does not really blend with the surroundings. What do you think?

Moraine Lake in the morning hours, just before the crowds come in.

Another shot of Moraine Lake. We think that this lake is even more impressive than Lake Louise. In the back you see the Valley of Ten Peaks which has been printed on the (old) Canadian 20$ bill.

At the Moraine Lake you can rent kayaks as well.

Peyto Lake in the late morning. You reach the fantastic and famous viewpoint after a 20 minute uphill walk. BTW, the colour of the lake is absolutely correct! I did not touch it with Photoshop. :-)

A squirrel enjoys its breakfast at the Peyto Lake. Please note that the green is not the sky, but the Peyto Lake! I wonder whether the squirrel knows about the beauty of his neighborhood?
