In September 1999 we travelled three weeks across Ireland. We picked up
our car in Dublin and did the "tourist thing", driving almost clockwise
through this fantastic country. We found places of extreme beauty and
experienced the quickly changing weather, which can switch from sunshine
to rain, and back to sunshine again within an hour.
We saw zillions of shades of green in the Wicklow Mountains,
were drenched by the rain in Wexford, saw the Rock of Cashel,
kissed the Blarney Stone in Cork and found the Ring of Kerry.
We moved up to the Cliffs of Moher and to County Mayo,
where life is still as quiet as in the old days. Then we drove eastward, through Sligo,
back to the center of Ireland -we had so much time left-, and back north again. We stopped by at
Newgrange and saw Seals in Skerries. And we experienced Dublin,
the capital of a truly wonderful country!
