![]() Between Elim and Hermanus you encounter beautiful country views like this. |
![]() Another nice photo of the area called Overberg, between Bredasdorp and Stanford. |
![]() Hermanus, one of the beautiful villages in Western Cape, seen from the Westcliff Street. At the Marine Drive you will find a number of nice hotels. |
![]() Another photo of the Hermanus sea front. |
![]() The old harbour of Hermanus. |
![]() If you are looking for affordable first class accommodation, you should definitely inquire at the Misty Beach Chateau, situated directly at the Marine Drive. Their interior is fantastic (see their foyer above), and their service was excellent! |
![]() You have probably seen the penguins of Boulder's Beach already, but if you want to see more Jackass Penguins, stop at Betty's Bay (directly on the R43) for another colony of those funny animals. A free boardwalk will guide you to their homes. |
![]() As you come closer to Cape Town, the R44 is situated directly at False Bay. In former times, ships on their way around the Cape were often (mistakenly) using this bay instead of the Cape of Good Hope. Hence the name "False Bay". |
![]() Here, you may notice several crosses directly at the shore. These stand for the anglers who were taken away by large waves and never came back. Nobody knows whether they drowned or "just" disappeared. |
