In Kingman you will enter the Highway 66. This may be not as fast as Interstate 40, but
it has charms, and you will be on a true historic route! And you will get your kicks
at Highway 66. ;-)

Old cars in the backyard of a petrol station off Highway 66.

Another flashback in time: Here, in a souvenir shop in Williams, we found this
friendly group of Indians, playing a good round of poker...

And then we approached the Grand Canyon! What a fantastic experience!

The Yavapai viewing platform, seen from the distance. Slowly you begin to envision
the grandness of the Grand Canyon! The people are so small, and the canyon is soo
mighty. At almost 7,000 ft (2,100 m) it can get quite chilly even in September.

Another view of the canyon, again taken from the South Rim.

A view into the Bright Angel Creek where the Phantom Ranch is. We recommend
to hike down into the Canyon ONLY if you have a reservation for the ranch. Otherwise you
may have a very hard time hiking back up again!

The final shot of Grand Canyon - at sunset. It is very hard to describe the feelings when
you see this for real. Simply wonderful.
