Just a few miles west of Pennan, the next stop is the village of Crovie, which seems to compete with Pennan over
the closeness to the sea. Ultimately beautiful.

This is the village of Crovie, seen from the next village, Gardenstown. Now, Gardenstown is bigger than Crovie and Pennan
and has both a working harbour and a lot of tourism. It's a relaxing spot with several restaurants and cafes. We highly recommend
a stop here, too.

Macduff is one of the many beautiful golf courses of Scotland, and this one is situated directly at the sea, a true challenge
for every golf enthusiast!
|

This is Macduff, on the eastern side of the River Deveron.
|

Next to Macduff (just hop over the River Deveron!) you'll find the village Banff and its beautiful long beach.

A natural phenomenon is the "Bow Fiddle Rock" in Portknockie. Over the centuries, the clashing water
of the North Sea has dug a huge hole into this rock. The tiny island is home to many seabirds who loudly
arrive and depart providing a unique maritime atmosphere.
