Photo Assignments Welcome!
After several years of part-time freelance photography, I decided in February 2007 that the time is right to switch to full-time work as photo journalist in Munich, Germany.

So I am looking for your photo assignments. Here's what you get when working with me:

  • Professional digital equipment
I am working with some of the finest Canon cameras and lenses available. The whole workflow is fully digital, allowing for excellent results in very short time. Please scroll down for a full equipment list.

  • Excellent results
My photos have been published in print and online. Selected reference customers include The National Geographic Society, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), and Random House Mondadori. So far the focus of my work was on high-end travel features, but I have done news, sport, feature or entertainment stories before. In fact, I am especially looking for assignments in these areas. I am also available for weddings across Europe (please inquire for a quote). To see some of my work, please feel free to browse around Zanzig.com or ask for access to my sample portfolio.

  • Quick turnaround times
My whole workflow is truly mobile, aiming to get up-to-the-minute imagery to you. If required you will receive the first shots minutes after the photos have been made, thanks to WLAN/WiFi, UMTS/3G, and GPRS connections on my laptop computer. Of course, I do prefer to have a closer look at the photos at the office, but if you are under high pressure facing tight timelines, it's no problem to get the photos out to you really fast, whereever you are.

  • Located directly in Munich
I am strategically located at the ring highway in Munich. I can reach most locations in the town center within 15-20 minutes, and I can get to other places in or around Munich fairly quick as well.

  • Affordable Prices
Right now I am taking assignments, usually at day rates plus expenses. Expenses need to be discussed beforehand only for exotic jobs - for plain jobs in or around Munich, the expenses are covered by the day rate. Alternatively, we can discuss other models as well, i.e. licencing only single photos from an assigned shooting, either non-exclusive or exclusive.

  • Exclusivity
If you opt for exclusivity, you will get the right to sell, syndicate and distribute the photos shot by me during your photo assignment, as you see fit, exclusive for at least one year. Neither the photos from the shoot nor any outtakes will be sold to any news service, agency, or newspaper. I keep the copyright in the material, and I retain the right to use my work for promotional materials, books, portfolios, and exhibitions.

  • Friendly contact
Okay, maybe I'm blowing my own horn too much here, but customer feedback so far was that "Zanzig is a professional, yet fun and friendly guy to work with". :-)

  • Available 24x7
If you have a tight deadline, just call me on my mobile phone. I am dedicated to meet your requirements.

Again, please call me directly, or an send e-mail:
