Golden Autumn

The past two weeks have been mostly cloudy, rainy, and very very cold for this time of the year. But today, the sun came out and made the first effort to create the light needed to capture nature’s beauty in a bright and beautiful golden autumn.

In the night we had touched the freezing point for the first time this season, and when I got out to make use of the morning light, there were dew drops on all the leaves of the trees.

In one tree, a couple hundred birds had gathered to prepare for their long winter holiday in Southern Europe! The air was filled with their cries, and when they tentatively took off in a huge group, I could even hear their wings flapping. They landed a few seconds later, and the birdy chit-chat began anew.

Enjoy!
