A hiker admires an icy lake in summer

Here’s another previously unpublished jewel from my Canadian collection: a hiker admires an icy lace close to the Mount Edith Cavell in the Canadian Rockies. Considering that the photo was shot in August, we were amazed to see such big chunks of ice, and its greenish color was breathtaking. If you like the photo as much as we do, why not buy a high-resolution scan from our Photoshelter site?

Canoos waiting for customers at Maligne Lake

Here’s a fresh scan of one of my popular Maligne Lake photos, complete with color correction applied. (If you want to compare how my scanning technique has improved over time, compare it with this embarrassing page from 2004). Anyhow, the image shows red canoos properly lined up on the pier of a canoo rental company at Maligne Lake, Alberta, Canada. And yes, if you like this image, just hop over to Photoshelter to buy a high-res download.

Still working on the archive. Here’s another unpublished shot from our trip to Western Canada in 2002: Maligne Lake in the Canadian Rocky Mountains on a cloudless summer morning, before the masses start to come. Highres can be downloaded here.

Canoo at a lake in Canada
Photo © Mark Zanzig

Here’s another previously unpublished image from Western Canada. It shows an orange canoo resting at a lake in British Columbia, Canada, on a late afternoon in August 2002. I think it was Dutch Lake in Clearwater, but I’m not sure, hence the somewhat generic  title. However, I think that it is a perfect symbol for outdoor vacations in Canada. And yes, you can download this image as high resolution scan if you want to.
